I Tried to Convince Myself I Needed No Vacation...

I tried to tell myself that I was fine, not frenzied or frazzled. Some people needed to take a vacation, but I wasn't one of those people.
But then again, maybe I did...
On the plane I began to relax. My husband had longed for me to go with him on one of his business trips. I just never felt I deserved to go, or that the kids could do without me.
As I warmed myself in the tropical heat, I realized my husband was right. I smiled a little convincing smile at him, admitting he was right.
I woke at 8:30 am. My usual time is 4:30 am. These nails haven't been painted in over a year.
While my husband was working I walked the beach, ate brunch under a palm, and read my Bible. When he came back from the office we had romantic dinners and an ocean view.
The tranquility and peace in this place restored my soul. My husband is wonderful. He knew I needed this
Sometimes we need a nudge. For me, I needed a push. I had to step out and get my feet wet. I now realize how good this was for me.
This lovely place is where I had breakfast and lunch; right on the beach.

Thank You God, for giving me this time of rest. Thank You, Lord for allowing me to think of You, while in paradise. Thank You for restoring my soul. Thank You, God, for giving me such a wonderful husband of 30 years. I'm so blessed.
Blessings, Kathi      Psalms 127:2B "He giveth his beloved sleep."

Just Checking In

Now that I am slowly returning to blogging, I find that I don't understand the new system. "Where is the dashboard?" I'm still trying to get comments back on and learning things. I've missed all of you dear friends.

When I have a question I go to my sister Sharon. She usually knows the answer.
Sharon came with us to look for a dress for Jessica. What a fun day shopping with Sharon and my two daughters, Victoria and Jessica.  I love the way Jessica photo bombed our picture. This is one more example of the fun and busy life we have right now. I have a senior this year, plus I'm teaching full time. I have so many memories of this year to share with you. Summer is coming.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted."

Life Is A Gift

Life is a gift. I'm thankful for my life. I'm thankful for so many things.  I've been teaching 4th graders full time since January. I love my class, but I'm looking forward to being home and serving my family, working my garden and enjoying my home. Also, I hope to do a little blogging. "Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare." Psalm 40:5   ps Inside the box is a precious gift of pearls from my husband for Mother's Day.
 Blessings, Kathi
